And I think he'll be okay to deal with ICly too; it's also something that has been touched upon and implied in NMH canon aka he doesn't deal or acknowledge it, ever, uhhh so it isn't like it's completely out there either!

HAHAH I'm with you there, smut in non-smut games is pretty tense as it is without it being... brainwashing dubcon from someone who's been in the game for less than a minute. Regardless of what the character's like it'll look bad, and I think you've struck the best balance with it. We can play with the nuance and be tasteful and keep the details for more appropriate places :')

I thought of another lighter alternative today, too-- typical DIO skeeze happening but no actual smutty things having happened? It'd take a lot of the pressure off, I think, as well as preserve DIO being his creepy DIO self. The only two to get flesh-budded never really talk about the experience, which might lean towards 'it's pretty fuzzy' territory, or else just that it was unpleasant enough to reflect on having thought DIO was ever a pretty cool guy at any point that they'd rather not go there. It'd be very open, I think.
