overhaven | March '15 plotting

Joseph is around, trying to get back from utterly depressed to normal. He still has the tendency to get weepy over Caesar, so tread carefully but if anyone wants an old man crying over his 20 year old disappearing Italian boyfriend, I'm up for that.

As always, I'm open to more shenanigans with all of you so if anyone has any particular ideas for what they wanna do in March - I'm up for it.

HAHAHA GOD ... would Jotaro tell him about this ...

Kakyoin would actually be doubly upset if he learned that Joseph specifically attempted this with the gun, since that was sort of his fault for giving Joseph the gun in the first place. So on one level, very upset with Joseph for buckling under the pressure of Caesar leaving, but also very upset with himself on a different level for having dumped that risk on Joseph in the first place. He'd probably apologize ... but also be quite angry about the whole thing.

Shit might get rocky for a while, I think he'd have a hard time relying on or fully trusting Joseph for quite some time if he heard about this incident, depending on how Jotaro put it and/or what state Joseph is in afterward, so I guess it depends on whether all parties involved are okay dealing with that fallout? I'm also totally okay with it slipping under the radar, or Jotaro leaving out the details, if that sorta ~*~*~drama~*~*~ isn't something we wanna deal with!

I thought about it some more while I was at work today anyway, and I think the most Jotaro would say on the matter is that he'll be spending a few days at Joseph's ala "I'll be back in a few days, you'll be fine on your own, won't you." But while you're both here, I was wondering if you guys had any specific plans for that gun? I'm not sure if Kakyoin would have told Jotaro that he found it, but either way, he doesn't want Joseph hanging onto it. I can still defs go either way in that log Kimi put up, but depending on how pissed he gets, he might have Star Plat smash it or something idk. If there's still a use for it plot-wise, it can be taken to Josuke later? Idk, I'm just throwing things down, feel free to add input!!

Yeah that's no problem at all! I didn't have too much of a preference either way so that works fine if Jotaro won't say much about the issue.

Nnnnno specific plans for the gun either! I can go either way for Jotaro knowing if Kakyoin found the gun -- since he found that during a game plot, he might have showed it (and the other dangerous crap he ended up with) to Jotaro, or he might have decided to just take it straight to Joseph. Both ways work! So I think smashing the gun would work fine.

Smashing the gun is fine with Joseph to be honest, he's got a stand and the hamon so he's not really got an inclination to a conventional weapons anymore. Especially since they're ineffective against Stands, or so he believes at this point in time.

kakyoin has, for the most part, been pretending nothing much is going on! but he's probably looking a little stressed out and tired by now, since he's been dealing/negotating with DIO, so that's fun.

he also tentatively did info-tradesies with diego re: whatever the "rebels" were using during that housing pit attack, and will probably be following that trail of information this month, so we'll see how that pans out?! i'm going to be assuming that all metaplot-related information is being relayed in person to jotaro promptly, and also periodically to joseph!

no other concrete plans at the moment, alas. i'd like for him to snap at some point and Lash Out Angrily at someone since he's been sitting on travis-granted fourth-wall spoilers for a month+ now! but that can also happen at a slow boil, perhaps if a more appropriate trigger for that sort of outburst comes up!

Unless you wanted to shoot for it with someone else, I can offer Jotaro up for that Lashing Out! I remember you said you wanted these two to argue about something at some point, so... this could be it? Given the nature of what it's about though, there might actually be a really extended period of brooding for both parties. If you wanted to save that for something else though, that's cool too!

Also just wanted to mention Jotaro is doing the same re: meta-plot!

ACTUALLY I've been thinking about them fighting since I brought that up, and I think That Big Secret aside, Kakyoin might try to deliberately rile Jotaro up at some point. He learned from Travis that the trigger for Jotaro unlocking STA PURACHINA: ZA WARUDO is getting really pissed off, and he'd try to push Jotaro over that brink sometime to see if it's possible to get him to unlock timestop in Haven! Of course he has no idea that that's a no-go in haven so he'll try it anyway, haw haw.

The only reason I haven't sprung that on you yet is because I haven't been able to figure out a reasonable way for him to piss Jotaro off properly, since Jotaro's so unflappable. The only 100% surefire method he knows would work would be to like, hurl Joseph off a cliff, and there's no way he's doing that ... (Especially after this whole post-Caesar-disappearance fiasco!!!)

OTHERWISE I've been considering him going the route of "you know what jotaro, your mom isn't really worth all this trouble lol i'm cutting ties with all this nonsense" but that's a little cheap and ... Kakyoin would think that might not even work, possibly? So I'm still just going over possible ideas, but that one's kinda the fallback if nothing else more plausible comes up. :9

BUT I'M DEFINITELY STILL thirsty for them to duke it out at some point! They're fucking stubborn, strong-willed, teenage dipshits, it's unnatural for them to have gone this long without at least one really ugly, really sincere fistfight!!!

HAHA oh god if Kakyoin really did say that, depending on how it's said, I think might work, but Jotaro would hold the biggest grudge and be salty for weeks. Like he'd get where Kakyoin's coming from for sure, being an outsider in the first place and all, but he'd be pissed over the fact that 1) they came so far and he's giving up now of all times, like "why the fuck did you even agree in the first place then jfc what were you expecting??" and 2) I THOUGHT WE WERE FRIENDS (in a quiet unspoken sort of way)???!?!??! Except that particular thought won't be verbalised, because you know, 2kool and all that. There would also then be name calling of the pettiest variety. The pettiest variety.

The other extreme is him simply going "lol what are you talking about" lmao.. But nnnn yes, them arguing about something sounds like it'd be a lot of fun to get to play out!!

HE WOULD APOLOGIZE AFTERWARD like ... very, very sincere apology and an incredibly uncomfortable explanation of why he did what he did, he's not going to piss off his best friend permanently!!! But he'd deliberately try to be very caustic while he's attempting this, since MIGHT AS WELL give it his all if he's trying to unlock Jotaro's timestop this way. Throw in a few insults about Joseph and (sorry) Holly, while he's at it. :'(

BUT IF this is a thing that interests you I'll def think about it a bit more to iron out the kinks! It'd be best if there was some sorta event or happening that he could use as an excuse for being 'the straw that broke the camel's back', but I can roll without one too, if it doesn't look like anything's gonna come up!

Ahh nono, I was kinda just hashing out Jotaro's potential reaction if things did swing that way. I'm not too fussed about how it happens, just as long as you're 100% comfortable with it!! I think I say this... all the time, but I'll find a way to roll with it!!

....is what I say in caps and all impressive-like, but I don't really have any concrete plans for Jotaro...... For the moment, he's pretty pissed because Joseph WON'T MAN UP, GOSH!!!!! but mostly because, thanks to the February event and Kazuya going craaaaay, he had to team up with DIO, and no matter how hard he scrubs, the dirty feeling won't go away. The thread's still going, so I can't say how he'll come out of it just yet, but he'll probably be a little touchy on the subject. No plans for him to say anything to anybody just yet, but if he does, he'll just kind of play it off all casual saying some shit like "I fought with DIO" completely out of the blue.

I'm probably going to make a post for Jotaro at some point. Gonna say his hat (or jacket, I haven't decided which just yet) got burned up pretty bad in the fight and he wants to see if anybody can repair it...... or make him a new one from scratch... I HAVEN'T REALLY HAMMERED OUT THE DETAILS BUT I KNOW I WANT TO POST WITH THIS GUY... He needs to use the network more...

Beyond these things, I'm up for anything!!!

This month DIO beat up a lot of people. Oh my god he beat up so many people.

He attacked John Watson so Diego's mad at him for trying to kill his roomie, so that's a thing that's happening at the moment...! He and Jotaro are also having a very tense team-up to deal with demon-possessed Kazuya which DIO is enjoying more than anybody else involved, having pretty much orchestrated that so he could see what Jotaro's capable of, hue hue hue. Anddd he roughed up Kakyoin because they had an agreement that Kakyoin would keep the Joestars from meddling/risking death in exchange for DIO only interfering with non-Jojo types/keeping his death a secret, and he felt that Kakyoin broke that agreement a lil' bit. :') He's also tried to drill Josuke about the family a little bit and it might be conceivable that Pucci would have told him about Jolyne, and all that...

I have nothing in particular in mind for this month! Not even really any plans, except to just up his presence on the network and have him meet Jion. I think most stuff that was talked about as a possibility last month happened or is happening which is very exciting!! Thank you guys for being so inviting and available for plot and shenanigans because it means a lot, especially being a baddie and all!

Blue is still Gone Fishin' so I'm not able to say anything re: DIO's bonus coffin yet, still sitting on that, but it's not like there's any rush on it. c:

Uhhh I am still (STILL) picking up backthread things, slowly talking to DIO and having stupid roommate antics and Feelings at Gyro. I cannot believe this month is already almost over, what even happened. I will try and come up with New Exciting Things to do for march, maybe, though that's going into con crunch time for me so I will probably...continue being slow. sob. I'm sorry.

This month was mostly shameless hitting on people during the event for Jolyne. Sorry not sorry. SHE WILL MAYBE... APOLOGIZE TO SOME PEOPLE LATER. Kakyoin at least. But maybe not. She won't apologize to Jotaro, he's a jerk. She'll probably still be kind of embarrassed though.

More actual plotting wise, she is talking to Josuke about Dio, possibly they coming to the conclusion that he needs to be taken out?? No one has talked to her about not messing with Dio. So probably I want to do some sort of thing there. (Both threading with Dio and possibly people convincing her Dio's bad news to mess with.)

I also still want to do more general family bonding too!! And I want her to get in a fight. Somehow. Perhaps the March event will provide more opportunities for that...
